Arthur Avenue Comedy’s Fordham Stand-Up Wednesday is where you go in the Bronx to hear top comics from TV and NYC’s major clubs performing long sets on an intimate stage. Past performers include comedians from HBO, Netlfix, Colbert, SNL, the Daily Show, Letterman, the Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and more. Solar Eclipse Viewing Party – April 8, 2024

Event Source: Bronx Times

Experience this amazing celestial event from the open lawns of Wave Hill with spectacular views of the Hudson River and open sky above. Pot up some seeds and make a festive eclipse party hat or celestial floral headband at the activity stations and enjoy live music and story time with the Riverdale Library. There’s solar-spirited fun for all at this community event!

We won’t see another eclipse in NYC until 2044, so don’t miss it! All registrants receive a pair of safety-certified eclipse viewing glasses.

Earth Day Celebration – April 20, 2024

Each year, NYBG’s Earth Day celebration highlights the Garden’s central work to save the plants of the world and offers visitors a beautiful space to honor our surroundings. Meet NYBG Staff from the Horticulture, Library, and Herbarium departments to learn about the work they do each day to support our environment. Explore the Thain Forest and its rich historical connections to Indigenous Peoples. Watch as local chefs share advice on how to make your diet more plant-friendly!

In the event of inclement weather, events will take place on April 21.
